Since 1984, the Arthritis Research Institute of America [a 501(c)(3) Charity] has focused 100% of it's efforts on osteoarthritis research. Over 3,700 volunteers from Florida have participated in the longitudinal Clearwater Osteoarthritis Study. The study was designed to discover why some people develop this disease and others do not.

The Arthritis Research Institute of America’s ‘Take a Hike’ Walk-a-Thons are wonderful events for the entire community.
Runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators will flow into your community to raise funds for ARIA and awareness about arthritis, the number one crippler of American adults.
In March we hosted the second annual Take a Hike Walk-a-Thon in Heritage Springs. This year’s Walk-a-Thon was in memory of Sam Sindoni.
