Since 1984, the Arthritis Research Institute of America [a 501(c)(3) Charity] has focused 100% of it\\\'s efforts on osteoarthritis research. Over 3,700 volunteers from Florida have participated in the longitudinal Clearwater Osteoarthritis Study. The study was designed to discover why some people develop this disease and others do…
Robert Leefers volunteered over 1000 hours for The Arthritis Research Institute. Bob was a Laureate of the Benjamin Franklin Society and well known for both his speed and accuracy with computer research.
During the many years that Bob volunteered, he experienced some health difficulties but he never let them get in the way of the work.
Bob was always present, always working hard and putting forth enormous effort. Bob was always curious and interested in learning new things.
Other volunteers were often shocked when he called the administrative assistant “honey” but most didn’t realize that the administrative assistant was his lovely wife, Terri.
His sense of humor and robust presence will be greatly missed at The Arthritis Research Institute of America, Inc.
